About Us
Hamilton Star University Cricket Club (HSUCC) is Hamilton’s oldest, and one of the most successful cricket clubs.
The club caters to social and competitive cricketers of all levels and is open to both students and community members.
Our club is based at the University of Waikato, and is the only Hamilton club to have both indoor and outdoor facilities. We currently field in the Hamilton Cricket Association competitions:
-
Six senior men’s teams
-
Five junior teams
- One senior womens team

Our cricket club has stood for more than just a sport - it is Hamiltons oldest cricket club and this stands for something. It is a community of dedicated individuals who share a common love for the game, and a commitment to the club.
As of 2024, we are taking a leap forward in our quest for excellence. Click here for our vision.
Our club is not only about winning matches but about nurturing our players, fostering a sense of belonging, and inspiring others to join our club.
So as we move forward, let us remember that everyone in the club plays an integral role in our continued success. Alone we can do good things, as a club, we can achieve so much more!
So let's get into it and let our club rise to new heights today. Lets make HSUCC a cricket club to be extremely proud of.
HSUCC Board
HSUCC has a strong volunteer-led board in place providing strategic guidance, oversees club decisions, ensures effective management of the clubs growth, stability and success.
As a board, we have a solid strategy to achieve our goals. Mainly to:
- Manage our club effectively and efficiently.
- Create and maintain a culture that every member is proud to be associated with.
- Be accountable and responsible.
If you would like to join our board, please contact Stu Pilling. We are currently looking for a Club Treasurer.
