Alumni
Being an alumni for a cricket club holds immense importance in sustaining the club's legacy and fostering its growth.
Alumni serve as invaluable mentors, offering guidance, support, and expertise to current players, coaches, and administrators. Their involvement helps maintain a strong sense of community within the club, as they provide a link between past and present generations, sharing stories, traditions, and experiences that enrich the club's culture. Furthermore, alumni contribute to the club's development by volunteering their time, skills, and resources, whether it's through coaching clinics, fundraising initiatives, or organizing social events. Their continued engagement strengthens the club's network, attracting new members, sponsors, and supporters, and ensuring its sustainability for years to come.
That is why HSUCC has been active for a long time, because you have played a part.
Ultimately, being an active cricket alumni is not only about preserving the club's heritage but also about actively shaping its future and ensuring its enduring success.
Why join up? Alumni will receive regular club newsletters, club & individual achievement updates, events and fundraisers, as well as new initiatives and projects we would love you to be part of. Join up here!
Butch Graham Scholarship
Each year, HSUCC has the privilege of granting two university students, each, a $500 scholarship for their involvement in premier cricket, one for batting and the other for bowling. These scholarships commemorate our esteemed, Butch Graham. A cherished leader and source of inspiration on, and off, the field. Although Butch departed this world prematurely, his profound love for cricket and dedication to our club continue to resonate within us, prompting us to honor his memory annually.
