The University of Waikato

The University of Waikato is committed to the growth and development of sports clubs.  Sports clubs form a key part in the student’s University experience, creating sport participation opportunities, social connections and pride in representing your University.  These outcomes form part of the University’s Strategy and that of the Sport and Physical Activity (Engagement) Plan.

HSUCC is the exclusive club at the University for the sport of cricket, and has been for over 20 years. HSUCC provdes cricket club services for the students, alumni and faculty of the University of Waikato, including the provision of welcoming opportunities for all students to become members.

Blazer Awards

The University of Waikato Blazer Honours annual event celebrates the achievements of long serving members of associated sports clubs.

Blazers are presented for the reaching of a milestone that a select few have achieved for their respective sports clubs - either competing in 100 games or providing 10 years’ service.
